Originating from Haarlem, the Netherlands, Robert Van Der Steenhoven has been creating art and sculpting on Peaks Island off the coast of southern Maine for the past 15 years.
Working primarily with composite materials, these stones are silicates composed of quartz, granite, mica, sandstone and slate.
